Hi we have a mule with a kaf700 engine. It was struggling to start and run so remove fuel tank and fitted new fuel pump due the amount of dirt in the tank and had the injector repaired. It was slightly better but not right. We tried a different throttle body and that didn’t help much. We compression tested it and cold and hot was around 70 psi . We’ve removed the head and found the valves not sealing correctly . We’ve sorted that and it’s around 130 psi now . When the spark plugs fitted now it struggles to turn over. Before it was fouling the spark plug aswell.  I’m now thinking that there’s been an issue with the decompression on the cam shaft . Has anyone had similar issues ?? Thanks

Had a John deer, that went to the paces like you have got compression up to par then wouldn't turn over fast enough to crank. Choked starter was working but week, put new starter on and fired right up.  Hope you get it going

Hi just thought I’d update you. Put a new starter motor on and starter clutch and it cranked over. So that solved that problem still ram roughy and traced that back to one way valve on fuel tank being fitted wrong way now runs perfect cheers

Hi my name is Greg and I just acquired a free 2000 yamaha kodiac 400 4x4 with the ultramatic transmission that does not run. I plan to get it going and use it around my property

I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this.
The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out.
      Thanks...

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.
