I have a 2004 Kawasaki Lakota 300 and have to replace rear master cylinder and rear caliper. Does a new rear master cylinder need to be bench bled or bled separately or can I just bleed whole system like a regular brake-bleed? If it does need to be done separately or on bench how would I do this Thanks in advance

I  see no reason  an atv master cylinder ( and wheel  cylinder(s)  can't be bled the same way automotive cylinders are bled.  Fill  master cylinder,  pump up and hold brake and crack the bleed valve. The fun  part comes with some atvs when you need to remove the seat or plastics to access the rear master cylinder cylinder or  bleed valve.

You could fit the master, then put your finger over it's outlet while you pump the brake lever, using your finger as a one way valve to get fluid in and most of the air out. Then connect the pipes and bleed it at the back wheel in the usual way.

actually did a gravity bleed when i filled it and then took my reverse bleeder and pushed all air out through resavour and worked great I picked up a small reverse bleeder on ebay i used it 2-3 times and works real well only down side i dont like to pour the fluid thats left over in reverse bleed bottle back in the container the fluid comes in  , but as long as bottom  of stem is coverd in bleeder u dont waste much Thanks for relpy

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I’m brand new to 4 wheelers and just bought a 1987 Yamaha Moto 4 350. It has good compression and fuel, but no spark. I’ve looked high and low trying to find how to test all the components of the ignition system, but can’t find anything. This has a new CDI box on it, but I suspect it might be the stator. How do I test the stator on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 1990 Bayou 220 that runs pretty well for it's age--needs a new muffler, but sounds tough.    Have had to start with a pull cord since I got it, and recently started troubleshooting the start button.  Finding a lot of information on this issue in the forum, but haven't been able to chase it down yet.  Got a new battery, new starter solenoid, and going to replace the starter relay this week, but not convinced that's going to do the trick, since I can't get the neutral light on when turning the key on.  I can start it by jumping the solenoid, but the 2 black wires to the relay do not activate the starter.  Bad ground or a short somewhere?  Is there a good way to just test the ground?
