Does anyone use a fuel additive in their quads? If so, what are you using?

Nope - straight regular gaz. I suppose I should use premium  non ethenol blend near the end of the season.

I put some seafoam injector cleaner in mine. It would miss a little if I had been riding a while, especially after I shut it off for a few minutes. So far I think it's helped with this issue. It's the first time I've put anything other than gas in it. I admit I was Leary at first, but it hasn't hurt it yet that I know of. I pray it doesn't. Lol. Btw, mine is fuel injected

I just recently went  through my brothers Quadmaster 500 after it had set idle for years.  Had to replace carburetor and fuel valve.  Everything was a sticky mess with part of the plastic looking like it was melted. Soaked fuel tank for a week and still had varnish coat inside, ended up using a whole  can of carburetor cleaner to get it cleaned. Using Gumout tune up in fuel, hopefully it will take care of anything that I missed.

I know every country's fuel is different, but our regular unleaded is pretty crap- goes off within 3 months or so. Have a lot o problems with seasonal usage engines/machines. Super has some different additives at the pump and does not go off that quickly. We seem to have much less hassles using Super and then we don;t need to add fuel stabiliser etc.

When we need to,w e use Putoline stabiliser

I have always used premium non-ethanol in my small engines. That was ever since I cleaned a carb on a little moped and saw all the gunk from the ethanol.

That being said, and more related to the topic, I know a couple guys who swear by Seafoam as an additive to the gas tank. I used it in the fuel tank of a couple small engines and it seems to help.

I also use non-ethanol fuel but not the premium just regular, no reason other than the book recommended 87 octane. I don't use fuel stabilizers, never thought they helped that much. The only additive iv ever used is Berryman Chemtool it works great for keeping carbs clean.

Just went to get gas, premium non ethanol is not available at the station that has it, I haven't bought any non ethanol since the gas increase, even though its gone back down ethanol fuel is 3.09 gallon here and non ethanol is 4.09 gallon.

I use what my station that sells it, calls 100% gasoline sold by Chevron, but they state it is not a Chevron product, they only have regular, no premium, iv been using it for a few years, since COVID price is almost $1.00 a gallon more, I still buy it though, its better than cleaning your carb every year. I have used fuel stabilizers and they don't seem to help much.

Heres my story. Kinda long. I guess I was a late bloomer when it comes to quads. I had never ridden a quad in my life. Rode Dirt Bikes as a kid growing up. Back in Oct of '06 I found a Mustang on craigslist. Took it for a test drive one morning before work. Fast car. 351 Cleveland. I had planned on meeting the guy again after work. For some strange reason thats still to this day beyond me, I stopped in Hillsboro MotoSports on the way home from work. I had 6 Grand on me. There was a left over '05 sitting by the front door. It was on sale for $4999. It was $5499 OTD. I didnt even look at anything else. I knew nothing about quads accept I thought it really looked coool and I had the money in my pocket to buy it. I was sitting on it when the salesman walked up and asked... "Can I help you?" Without hestitation I pulled 60 Ben Franklins outta my front pocket and said "I want this Quad. Load it up in my truck." It was just about dark by the time I drove away from the shop. BTW, I didnt bother to ask my ol lady if I could buy it. LOL. Anyway, I took it by the house and showed her. She was kinda stunned but not mad. We drove over to a friend of mines house and unloaded it. I took it to the field across the street from his house. HOLY CHIT!!!!! I was surprised by the power. I had it for about 2 weeks and took it to Sand Lake. I was there a few hours and rolled it on a banked turn at the top of the bowl right before you get to the one-ways. When it rolled, I flew off and landed on my belly. The quad came bouncing and landed on my back. For a month I couldnt even walk. I was scared of it. I considered trading it for a 250EX. Went back to the shop. The salesman said..."Dude!!! You dont want a 250EX!!! Trust me. Just get used to it" I still wasnt convinced. I put it on craigslist for $4000. Calls were coming in. I had a guy that wanted to come look at it that evening. I decided to take it for one last ride at Browns Camp before I sold it. I was still afraid of it. After about 5 minutes I started feeling comfortable on it again. I decided right then, I loved my Honda 450 and would learn how to ride it instead of selling it. That was late Nov of '06. Work was slow for a Painter in Oregon. My new job everyday? Going to Browns Camp and ridding my Quad. I bought my Girl Friend an '02 Blaster. I rode my 450 for 4-6 hours almost every single day for 3 months. And yes, I know my way around Browns Camp pretty well. LOL. In March I bought her an '06 TRX250EX (Thank God I didnt trade my 450 for one of those) LOL Since then, I have become totally addicted to quads. I love them. Couldnt imagine not owning at least one quad. Luckily I have two. My "07 was $6500 OTD in July of '07. Bought it for my Girlfriend. Traded in her 250 EX. A month later we broke up. So, I wound up with two Honda 450's.

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this.
The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out.
      Thanks...

I am having an issue with a hs500. I bought it broken and have been trying to get it running. It seems to be starving for fuel. If I put my hand over the intake it will crank but will not run for very long because I'm not able to get the correct airflow with my hand. The things I have done so far are. Replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, mass airflow sensor, idle air adjuster, fuel injector, cleaned the throttle body, replaced the ecu, and still the same issue. I notice the injector does not spray when removed from the head. I dont know if that is common.

I am out of ideas on what to do next. I have removed the fuel line from the injector and it is getting plenty of fuel. If anyone has an idea on what could possibly be the issue I would be happy to try anything at this point.
