Bought a used Honda TRX350 and replaced carb (had sat with gas in it), flushed tank, replaced petcock and fuel line.

Got it to start up and idle fine, rev's ok. It's electronic shift on the left handlebar and I hear it clicking, the neutral light turns off when not in neutral.

Won't move at all. Usually can't get it to shift back to neutral. I've tried the manual shift tool also, still won't move.

I've been reading about the electric shift problems with these unit and suspect the shift mechanism is at fault.

Possibly the clutch also. I see blue RTV around th front cover, so someone has been into it before.

Any advice or experiences to share?

If the electric shift makes a noise and the neutral light goes out, and using the manual shift gives the same results, I wouldn't be suspecting the shift mechanism. I'd be suspecting a worn out clutch or locked brakes or something like that..

So when it isn't moving, what is happening ? Does the engine labour ? Or does the engine just free wheel and rev freely with no load ? If you change up two gears, (so using second or third), do you still get the same results ? Does the bike roll in neutral, does it roll in gear ?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!
