2005 Yamaha 350 bruin    ATV sat for two years...hard start so drained the gas tank...new gas...started hard even with choke...but  once started would go through the country side...sat for a month...hard start so pulled tank and cleaned it out...starts easy and idles fine without the choke...but the minute i try and throttle up it dies...if i start it with the throttle held half open will start and run...goes back to an idle just fine...but dies if i throttle up at all...looking in the ventura of the carb it looks like there is something restricting 2/3 of the air intake...? possible ruptured diaphram?...time for a new carb?

If the diaphram goes, it normally doesn't rip right to pieces and get through the small holes in the slide. Best fish whatever it is in there out though. Pull the slide and you can see down from the top. If it's not that blockage causing the problem then it sounds like a dirty carb or needle's come loose in the slide. First thing is pull the slide and check the blockage and needle(easy), then use the drain screw to check there's plenty of fuel getting through(easy), then pull the carby off and clean it(pretty simple). You could try a new plug first(cheap).

Does anyone have a recommendation of a really Heavy Duty ATV cover. I have bought several and they do keep the water off somewhat, but they are very thin and do not contour with the shape very well and water pools up in the rack louvers. I think i may be looking for a heavy canvas one, if anyone has a recommendation it would be greatly appreciated.

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?
