While cruising, my 2011 750 king quad suddenly shut down. As it happened, red lights on the display flashed. Any ideas? My head lights suddenly stopped working about a week ago, if that helps. I have no power at all. Thanks

Battery issue .. check terminals are tight, charging issue .. is the battery being charged ok when engine is running. Low oil issue?

I'd agree on this being my first steps as well. Check connections including any chassis ground and then check charging system. Remember it's got to be a decent bit above battery voltage when running. I remember a mention of a low oil cutoff in some reading but I might be remembering that wrongly.

Unhook battery and take it out. Make sure it's got electrolyte past the top of the plates. If not top off with distilled water. Throw on charge on it. Hook back up and see what happens.

Should be over 12v standing after charge.

With everything off while hooking up. Do you see a spark at the terminals?

If you do. You have something draining the battery when it shouldnt.

When you crank it over have a volt meter hooked up so you can see how much the voltage drops while cranking.

Shouldnt drop lower than about 9v or the battery may be shot or the improper size.

While running the battery voltage should be about 13 to 15 volts or something is wrong with battery or it's not charging while its running.

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.

Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

Hello all! I’m new to the 4 wheeler world, but not new to the mechanic world. I was a diesel mechanic for many years and last year got into jet skis. I just bought a 1987 Yamaha moto 4 350 and now learning the ins and outs of 2 stroke engines. Looking forward to learning all the things.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
