Have a 2001 polaris sportsman 500 4x4 atv and when I put coolant in the radiator it starts leaking from the exhaust. The valves are sealed but it stopped making compression. Do I need to just replace the head? I just rebuilt the hole top end and this is the only thing +valves that I have not replaced and was wondering if that is why it's not starting up. Need answers please.

Sounds like a massive head gasket leak or cracked head if you have coolant leaking. Does it run? Its not just condensation, right? Normally if you have a bad head gasket and coolant gets into the combustion chamber, you'll get white smoke. But coolant leaking out is a first for me..its just dripping out of the muffler?

It had compression before it started to leak but now it's leaking it doesn't have any. And yes I'm sure its coolant and not gas or condensation. I know this because when first started to fill the radiator up with coolant it would take a long time for it to fill up so a thought there was a problem or it was leaking from somewhere so I heard a leaking noise and it was coming from the front of the motor out of the exhaust port on the top end. And I know the gaskets aren't bad because there brand new and I didn't see any leakage from the head where the head gasket was anywhere.

if its leaking cooland its the head gasket or (very rarely) a cracked head.  if its leaking air into the exhaust its a valve.  did you torque your head bolts to spec and did you thoroughly clean the old head gasket off before rebuilding?  it could mayb be a warped head but if its an internal leak its most likely the head gasket

Yes there torqued to spec. I have an torque wrench to do it with and also the head gasket that was on it is metal so there didn't seem like I had to clean anything. This is the new oem one I just ordered to and just ordered a new head for it to.Screenshot_20200914-151856_eBay.thumb.jpg.6ab2f3790e643b3203801ca0b1d2b548.jpg

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!
