I think that's normal because when you unplug the sensor it causes and open and the fan defaults to turns on. If its plugged in and not turning on, my bet would be a faulty sensor or fan breaker.

Yes, but when that senor is unplugged it throws an Fi code on the dash and the fan will work but as soon as I plug it back in the fan stops which causes it to over heat both sensor and breaker have been replaced but it still not working. Relay is also functional.

Could be the ECM, but hopefully not. There's some troubleshooting the dealer would do. You could refer to the manual and check the temp sensor resistance and output voltage. If you say all else is working, that may be the next step. Do you have the service manual? I just uploaded 2102-2014 which is the closest I could find:

Modern ATV's remind me of modern vehicles.  My wife's 2015 Mustang was having power loss at highway speed but would take off normal.  2 days of troubleshooting, no codes thrown, settled on it being a low pressure fuel pump and resigned to taking it to the dealer.  Noticed last night brake lights stayed on.  So I shimmed the brake light switch and fixed the power loss...guess it was triggering pseudo limp mode.

I bring that up to say....modern ATV's are too darn complicated and hard to troubleshoot. :)

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

Im aware that this relay needs a positive (+) and a negative (-) to activate the other side. The blue wire is the neutral wire so when in neutral it gets ground. The green wire is from the parking break; when you pull the break in it gets ground (-). however one of those two needs to be neutral so that the positive from kill switch can go to the starter relay. The ground from the starter relay is from the start switch. Which one (neutral or parking break) should have a positive (+) voltage?
