So I’ve rebuilt this quad and the only issue is fuel delivery. The filter fills up then runs out of fuel then dies. I’m thinking that vapor lock is the cause. And here’s my reasoning. The fuel lines are supposed to be 3/8 are 5/16 on there and it looks to have a huge filter on there. I did blow out all the lines and checked the petcock as well as the screens in the tank. Sonic cleaned the carb and replaced all the jets and needle. Blew out the vent lines too. Any one else have thought?

It’s possible about the fuel line thickness but I don’t think it’s likely.  I would remove the fuel filter and run a direct line to the carb without the filter. Just to see how it runs.   The filter is directional so it should go on the line on the right direction, have you checked that also ?

Yes. When I was shooting air thru it it’s clear all the way to the carb. The carb is clear also. I took the cap off the tank just to rule that out too

It’s the same thing that happens with the filter. Runs great then dies. Ill show you guys what I’m talking about in a few minutes.

It’s awesome to be back. The quads took up some time. I have something else I’m working on too that will be custom and awesome.

I’ve been doing okay. Got a lot things under control. I’m coming out to L.I.C next week. Have a few things to do down there. Let’s meet up and have a beer.

Yeah. Smaller lines and filter fixed it. But now it’s a ping at low idle and goes away when you rev it. It’s all new besides the dome. I don’t suspect piston slap. Give me a text frank. New phone.

      I Crashed My Quad
Well the Way I Ride, some of you knew it was Inevitable.
      Below are Three Videos.
First one is Slow Motion of How it Happens.
Second one is Normal Speed, and what happens after the Accident.
Third one Follows more of what happens after .

I Was Riding By Myself. I was going through a Mud HOLE Either there was a log or a rock, or A Dip but just as I was almost through it, Machine, Rolled over on my right side, as soon as I contacted the ground, I Heard A SNAP! I got up, flipped the Quad back over. I had the wind knocked out of me.

My name says it all. I have a '03 Honda Sporttrax 400EX with a new aftermarket carb on it that seems to be having issues. I can start it but it idles really rough and when I give it throttle it just kills the engine. I have tried adjusting the idle screw but to no avail. I am in the San Diego Ca area.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I would also like to get an owners manual for the thing too but can't seem to find a downloadable one.

Im aware that this relay needs a positive (+) and a negative (-) to activate the other side. The blue wire is the neutral wire so when in neutral it gets ground. The green wire is from the parking break; when you pull the break in it gets ground (-). however one of those two needs to be neutral so that the positive from kill switch can go to the starter relay. The ground from the starter relay is from the start switch. Which one (neutral or parking break) should have a positive (+) voltage?

I hadn't driven my Kodiak for a two months, and since it was low on fuel, the first thing I did was filled it up to maybe 7/8 full. Getting ready to start it, I rotated the fuel selector switch to "on" and within seconds I smelled and saw fuel dripping onto the floor. I quickly turned it off and the fuel gradually stopped - I can repeat this.
The fuel is flowing from the hose that is connected to the bottom of the carb, and routes around to the left side toward the wheel well. Any idea what's going on here? It ran fine the last time I had it out.
      Thanks...
