No i've only found the key swictch wich is front on my eyes but not the switch to turn off I can't see it on the handlebar. My first problem is the engine doesn't start so fuel is ok, spark plug is wet, and engine would run nearly but not. Sparks on spark plug are ok. Fuses are ok so I was searchin' for security switches maybe? I'm searchin for atv repair manual soon..

It should be on the left side of the handle bar  it’s red. It’s right above the start button.

It may be missing or the red switch cover is gone? Can you post a pic of that left side of the controls on the handlebars ?

Should look like the pic attached.

Ok that makes sense now.  That’s not the correct switch for that machine.   I would order a new switch or a used one from eBay. An original equipment  manufacturer  switch (Yamaha). The wires should all be color coded and match what wires are on the harness.

I’m assuming someone put a cheaper switch on the bike because of the price of the right one.   I looked at a few switches on eBay and they run about $90 bucks.

If the bike is in good shape I would do it.

Ok thak you very much I will search for it. Now I will also search the 2 wires R/B and R/W back of the radiator to be sure that CDI unit is not at ground and engine doesn't run. Thank you my friend I'll tell you later about my problem 😉

Is the  disconnected  cable on the left  for  the  choke  or  is it the  rear  brake  cable that  should be connected  to  the  lever on the  grip?.  The right  lever  with the  hydraulic  cylinder should be your  front  brakes ,  at  least that's the  way their set up  on most machines .

Yes the left cable is for the choke but the system is broken so it doesn't hold now I have to pull up with my fingers if I would start engine, not really practice lol but I will repair it soon and the right lever is for front brake yes

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!

Im aware that this relay needs a positive (+) and a negative (-) to activate the other side. The blue wire is the neutral wire so when in neutral it gets ground. The green wire is from the parking break; when you pull the break in it gets ground (-). however one of those two needs to be neutral so that the positive from kill switch can go to the starter relay. The ground from the starter relay is from the start switch. Which one (neutral or parking break) should have a positive (+) voltage?
