Hi I'm new here , nice forum.

I have aquired a XY 300, that seems to be the same as a Linhai of the same model. I was gifted the machine in poor condition, with a locked engine due to broken cam chain, and a broken front strut shock. I have replaced cam chain and have the ute running well now. My need is information about the spacers used to mate the engine to the transmission, alignment of variator and clutch. A blueprint of the alignment jig used in the manual would be ideal.

Thanks S

Thanks Ajmboy, yes it is Chinese . I will have to make a few more posts before I can dl the file.

This machine almost identical to Linhai 400cuv manual.  The engine / trans mate the same.

The perfect alignment of pulleys is my aim. It will get a new clutch soon and will correct alignment then. The manual spec. 252mm distance between shafts, 62.5 mm from shoulder on trans shaft to the side of the engine where the cvt cover mates. That point is in mid air, so have to extend that plane of side engine to get measurement. As I understand it now, that is.

I managed to align the pulleys, adjust engine position, using straight edges. I used the above specs from manual. What a difference the alignment made. The machine now moves smoothly from a stop, no shuddering, shifts smooth and it is much faster than before. I am happy with the return on the effort.

One of the front shock struts tops out with loud clack when the road drops away. I believe it is low on oil, I'm thinking I can drill a hole in body add oil then seal. Not sure where to drill the hole that is safe inside shock. Shock just like 88 Kawasaki mule front strut.

 Any ideas?   R.

I recently got a 2007 XY 300 it needs the rear spider gears. Can’t find parts and ideas on what I can swap or use to make it work. I have the reverse gearbox but not carrier housing and gears. Can’t seem to get photos on the post atm.

I've been trying to piece this Lakota 300 back together, slowly. It's been a rabbit hole however. I replace one thing, then it leads to replacing other things. Anyway, When I got this thing I noticed that the hose coming off the camshaft cover wasn't attached to anything, it was just hanging loose. (It's literally just a foot long hose attached to nothing) I figured since it was venting the head it would be ok and I am sure it is.
However, last night I was looking at the service manual and noticed that it mentioned that this atv has a crankcase breather tube as well. Mine does not have one, so I looked at Partzilla and looked at the parts diagram and sure enough, it's definitely supposed to have one. The problem however is, the service manual does not show how it hooks up and the parts diagram only shows the exploded view of the assembly. I just find that kind of strange, nowhere in the manual does it show how it connects. Does it have it connector, attach to a nipple? It just doesn't say and it bothers me that there is a hole there without anything attached to it.  If anyone has a Bayou 300 or Lakota 300 with an intact breather vent system and could possibly take some clear photos of it or know how it connects I would be very grateful. I have searched high and low and cannot find any information on it.

      Thanks

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
