Just a curious thought-what percentage of your quad use is work (yard, field, hauling, etc) vs playing (exploration, recreation, enjoyment)

personally mine is about 60/40 work to play.  Most of the work is winter plowing!

I know this is an older post but felt like contributing, yesterday my son and i were on our property hauling out down trees , figured taking advantage of frozen ground would make the dragging easier, we ended up putting 9 hours in

just hooking choke chains to logs and pulling out , it was fun did some great work , exercise, played with the quads a bit and had fun.

That’s awesome.  9 hours though !! 🥶

That’s a lot of fire wood!  I like when it’s cold out the bikes have a lot of bark to them and run great.  Octane stays high in colder weather and the fuel burn is so much better so gasoline engines typically run better!  But that’s great stuff @Airborne

I just decided to get one for play.  Snowmobile season has been pretty bad the last four years around here and wanted something that I can actually use. The sleds haven't had a much opportunity due to weather.

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
