I have a 450 Wolverine with 500 miles on it. My question is are these known to not have a lot of pick up? It just doesn't seem like its fast out of the hole or top end. It has plenty of low end torque. I thought maybe the CVT belt might be worn....but it only has 500 miles on it.

Those always seems to me like a utility quad dressed in sport quad plastics. It's not going to be a rocket ship, but should be able to get up there in speed as most utility 400 and 450 quads I used to own a Yamaha Kodiak 450 and it was fine and had good low end but wasn't a speedster of the starting line. Now if it's slipping, that's another thing. Do you have it in 4WD or 2WD, if I recall there is a selector.

Measure the  belt width and compare  it to  a  new belt to  know  how  much wear  is on it .. 500 miles  of  hard  pull  will wear it  more  than  easy riding. The weight  it is  carrying  also  affects   its acceleration  and top  speed.  My  260  pound  butt on a  buddies  quad  with the  CVT transmission definitely  is  slower  than  it is  with his  150   pounds.

I didn’t have it in 4wd. I’m just wondering if it’s me or something wrong? It runs great just think it would have more pick up. I’m not comparing it to my 700 king quad but they are night and day different. It doesn’t seem like it wants to spool up quick.

I have a Yamaha Timberwolf 4x4 250. I want to put a winch on it, but just wondering if the charging system will handle it or not ? Has anyone added one to their machine and have you had any issues?

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

So I’ve got a 2000 Honda 400ex absolutely love it!! I’ve had it for about a month, I ride with bruteforce 750’s, outlander 850’s and 1000 sxs’s and I was thinking of getting a trx450r carb and a full hmf exhaust. And probably doing the air box mod too, how much power would this give my 400? Just a little different or a big difference? Cuz if it’s not much of a different I’ll just stick with my dg slip on..... thanks!

Does the 1987 moto 4 350 have a low oil sensor that kills spark? Or are these too old for that kind of thing?
