On my king 700 I was going to replace the CVT belt and do the shim mod. Well when I took it apart the collar teeth are wore out. Its smooth for the most part. Im going to order a new collar but what would cause this? The back teeth are better that the front side but both have smooth areas. Ill see if I can get a pic posted but I know its not right. Everything else looks good. The belt isn't even worn but it will get replaced. The actual shaft coming out of the engine looks good and doesn't appear to have any worn spots.....so at least thats good.

CVT clutches drive on the  sides of the  belt.  The  clutches  should be  smooth or  you'd get  severe  belt wear .

As the  belt wears   it  gets  narrower and  you  would see    glazing on the sides..  Evewntually when  it gets narrow  enough it in unable to  ride up  in the clutches properly  and  you lose  speed and  grip

First post here need some help/advice. I bought a 2001 king quad 300, vin number JSAAK43A212111871. I have been trying to do some basic maintenance as it runs but doesn't idle all that well . I want to take out and clean/repair the  carb but when looking for parts it ask for model X Y K1 K2. How do I know which model I have? I have tried some vin decoders but they haven't told me. If anyone could recommend a carb rebuild kit for my quad Id appreciate it. Also any tips on tracking down an owners manual?
