Make sure the  quad is in neutral, check there  is power to the  ignition switch,  then the  process of elimination  starts  at the  battery  positive  and ground  and works through the  circuit.  You  can  quick check the  starter by  running  12 v directly to the terminal  momentarily  to  see if   it spins over ( assuming  you  at least  have   power to the  lights and indicators)  Usual  problems are  bad grounds, broken  wires and corroded terminals, or defective relays.  Check  in that  order. Electrical  problems can sometimes  be a  real  PIA  to  trace  out .

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Bought 4 wheeler for kids. Used to run and soon as it was put in gear it died. I have put new carburater, new plug and battery. The neutral light won't come on. I replaced the solenoid, then the positive battery cable and today put new relay assembly on. Still no neutral light. Not getting any juice and I don't know why.

Hello all! I’m new to the 4 wheeler world, but not new to the mechanic world. I was a diesel mechanic for many years and last year got into jet skis. I just bought a 1987 Yamaha moto 4 350 and now learning the ins and outs of 2 stroke engines. Looking forward to learning all the things.

I recently purchased a complete lt230s for$50. It was missing the kick starter gears which I got off eBay for $18. I’m trying to install the gears which after reading different threads about having it timed. I have it all timed but now it acts like engine is seized up but I know it’s not. What could be going on??? Any insight would greatly be appreciated.
