No problem brother. We can help you along. There are a lot of members here that have Polaris quads etc as well as members that have electrical experience.

But first go to the right side drop down menu and click on start a new topic so it stays current and has its own topic.

Post your problem and I’m sure you will get this squared away.

Either on the positive battery terminal itself or the side of the solenoid that the battery terminal goes to, there will be a red wire (standard sized wire vs big battery cable size). That wire will lead to a fuse. I suspect that fuse is popped. To the original poster, could be the same for you. Just jumping to the ignition switch doesn’t guarantee that you provided power to the start push button. Also, could be a safety switch as in won’t start in gear without the brake handle squeezed kinda thing. Start with locating and checking the main fuse.

I had this EXACT problem with a trailboss. After going crazy and replacing the ignition switch, I found the Run/Off red switch on the left side of the handlebar to be dirty. After cleaninig.. Never happened again... Thought I would share

1st problem, Does anyone know where I can find a stock carb for my Timberwolf, I have tried two different aftermarket carbs and they both suck. The machine runs great until it gets good and warm, then it keeps stalling unless I feather the throttle. it will even stall while I'm trying to go from 1st to reverse or vise versa. I took it to a buddy of mine who is a bike mechanic for years, and he told me try to find a factory carb. When I look online from dealers it says "NOT AVAILABLE" anyone have any suggestions ?

2nd, The small tab on the rear axle for towing is to short for even pulling my small yard trailer, I can't even turn a little bit and hit hits. I tried making an extension which worked great as far as length, but it bends the tab and then the extension drags the ground. I have an idea of what to do to fix it, but wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem and see how you solved it.

      Hello All
I'm kinda new to ATVs. I just bought a 1987 Suzuki quad runner 230 Dual Range. I'm having a problem finding info on it. It's very clean, only 2.800 miles. The front wheels are only 30 in.center to center. I was thinking about adding wheel spacers to give it more stability. I realize the added stress on ball joints and bearings. I'm wondering if there are any other concerns? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I like to ride in wooded and grassy areas. It takes my mind off the everyday routines and helps me deal with my father's cancer. Also gives me a reason to get involved with forums like this one.

I’ve got a 2000 400ex with a dg slip on muffler, it came with he stock muffler on it but the previous owner had the dg in a box so I put it on. I’ve been riding it for the past month and a half and every time I let off it backfires, and the other day the backfires got way louder, 2x louder! I’m concerned that I may hurt my motor? Why does is backfire??? Thanks
