I'm going to revive a really old thread here. I was searching the forum and wanted to ask this of the community....do you have insurance on your ATV and if so what company are you using? Allstate, Progressive, etc., and about how much per year?

Here in PA, insurance is required to ride a lot of places. I use Progressive, own 3 machines and costs me $165 a year. I have also been with them for years so my rate is cheaper. I think when I first got it, one machine cost me like $230 per year? Then I added the second machine when my girl got into riding. I keep one machine now as a spare, but keep it registered and insured in case we need to use it for riding.

I have Progressive insurance on both my 1983 Honda ATC 185s (Progressive will still insure a trike), and my 2006 Arctic Cat 500 TRV. Full coverage on both costs me around $20 a month, so roughly $240 a year. For me it's peace of mind for those times when friends or family might ride my machines. Also I carry it because atv activity around my cabin has picked up quite a bit in the past few years and I want protection in case someone were to run into me, or vice versa (even though I generally try to drive safe and sane on the trails bad things can happen in an instant).

So we are almost a month into winter and I've been so busy working on my house that up until today, I didn't realize that we just haven;t gotten any real snow yet to warrant putting the plow on my grizzly. So that got me thinking, what are the latest plows out there and what ATV plows are the best? I've got 2 snow plows for my grizzly, a quadboss pile driver atv plow set up and a snowsport ATV plow. They are both a bit dated now and I tend to stick with the snowsport due to ease of use and I just like it so much. So if you have a plow on your ATV, please let us know what it is and post a picture with your atv/plow would be awesome. Would also like to know what you like and dislike about it.
This is back a while when I did a write up on these 2 plows.... in 2009 I got the snowsport and in 2012 I got the quadboss.

I have a Sportsman 450 HO and almost killed my self when loading it on my truck with ramps.  It rolled off the top of the ramps and tailgate and nearly landed on me.  I now want to winch the ATV in to the truck.  My question is are the front side bed tiedowns in my 2011 RAM strong enough to winch to without distorting the hooks or sides of the bed?
