01 bear tracker stutter/ bog, electrical ??
A new thread makes it easier to follow.... Does it backfire ? Is it out of the carb or the exhaust ? Are you certain it's the mid range that's causing it, or could it perhaps be that it's when the load starts coming onto the engine that it starts to misfire ? In which case it's more likely to be a coil or lead, cap or sparkplug. The way to check if it's throttle position, or engine load, is to go up and then down a slope/hill. Start a new thread though.. Otherwise it's too easy to confuse bikes or owners or problems..- bear tracker

Trail Tire Valve Replacement
Have you ever been on the trail and your tire valve goes bad. No way to break down the wheel and replace it. A lot of you probably know about this already i had heard of it but never used one. Just punch out the old one insert and tighten down the nut So far it has worked very well. -

01 bear tracker stutter/ bog, electrical ??
Same exact issues with 02 yamaha big bear. Replaced with new carb. Same issue, bogging down when throttled past mid range. Bought another new carb, replaced again. Same issue. Good gas, jets all correct, screens clean, fuel lines clean, good gas, new battery, new plug, filters etc…Not sure about the CDI, but how about replacing the stator?Thoughts?- bear tracker

Most machinery, whatever it is, always wears the same parts out, which is why it doesn't always work out so good keeping old machines for spares... I think I'd choose the best rolling chassis with reasonable suspension brakes etc, and swap motors, bodywork etc onto that one. Just a guess without knowing if things are worn or crashed or blown up, but based on having seen(and done) a bit of this work. -

Hi! I’m new to the forum. I have several Polaris Trailboss 500’s, which I’m trying to make 2 usable bikes from. One is all but complete, needing only reassembly, while the other two are a decision as to which is parts and which is bike. lol. Anyhow… -

How did you get into Quads?
They are a must have if you have acreage, at least for me anyway, im getting older and dont like to walk so much anymore, would rathar ride. -

Favorite ATV Tires?
Thanks for the info , i generally use Kenda Bear Paw, but the SunF are getting very popular, with a great aggressive tread design.
